A few months ago, I became addicted. I had never experienced this obsession to get what I want with this intensity before. Soon enough, all my free time was consumed in it. I am of course talking about designing my bathroom. I had gotten it completely renovated, changing the toilet, sink and shower, not to mention removing the tiles. This clean slate made me consider all sorts of bathroom decorating ideas. This opportunity to make the best bathroom ever is where the addiction started. Oddly enough, my goal was to make luxury hotel towels look just right when placed on their hanger. If I accomplished that, I would know that I had made the best bathroom on the planet.
The revamping of the sink, toilet, shower and tiles took about a month, I think. It was with the accessories and stuff like towels that consumed a lot more time. It was only after three months that I was happy with my bathroom, and in the end, I even got myself a nifty luxury bathrobe to go along with the surroundings. Now, I am itching to do more things, perhaps find another bathroom in my house to redo.
Bath sheet towels might seem like no big deal. Some would be satisfied with whatever they can find in a department store. Sorry, that just will not do for me. What I am looking for is 5 star luxury. When I enter my bathroom, I want to feel like I am getting luxury accomodation at the Ritz Carlton or something.
Resorts are known for their beautiful amenities, and great services right down to the water glasses used. But it is not like you would usually want to go to a hotel for the sake of their bathrooms, or their beds. Whether you would want to or not, it is an expensive thing to do several times a month.
